It is traditional recipe mostly preferred by Indians specially odia people.
Ingredients
1. kulthi dal
2. Tamarind
3. jaggery
4. mustard seeds
5. Garlic
6. curry leaves
7. green chillies
8. salt
9. mustard oil
10. Black salt
Preparation
First place in pan in gas stove and dry roast the kulthi dal for 15 minutes in low flame. Then put the roasted dal in a pressure cooker and add some salt to it and let it cook with 5,6 whistles. Soak the tamarind in a small bowl for 10 mins.
Then mash the cooked dal properly for 2_3 mins and add some jaggery , again mash the tamarind properly soaked earlier in the bowl and pour that water in the dal.
Then heat the kadhai, add mustard oil to it, mustard seeds, curry patta ,garlic and green chillies to it . Let the garlic turn little brown then pour the dal to the kadhai.
Put some black salt to it and have it with plain rice.
It is also considered as a very healthy recipe as it helps in curing many diseases in our body especially the stone developed in the kidneys.
